Texturing Assignment
Here's the start to the assignment that I'm working on for my Adv. Lighting and Texturing class. Of course I haven't gotten to the textures. The lighting in terms of the major shadows is laid out, though there is going to be more going on for the lighting in the scene. I might change it to dawn or dusk, but that's a maybe. The composition right now has been 'o.k.'d by my teacher, though, and that's mainly what this render is showing.
Can you guys point out anything about this that seems off, before I start to texture it?

The shadow on the tree to the left of the house is hard to understand. Its a slender curved spike like a sail. But on it's trunk he shadow ends. Unless it from the tree behind the house, but the shadow would be stretching too far, compared to the stretch of the cars shadow.
ReplyDeletethis looks great! im about to start my modeling for my lighting final as well. I love that car too. great detail.
ReplyDeletewhere do u go to school?
I go to the Art Institute of Portland. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you like the car, but I forgot to mention that none of this i modeled, oops. Our teacher gave us a bunch of models and we were supposed to construct a scene with them to light and texture. ^^
Where do you go to school?
hahaha
ReplyDeleteI go to school of visual arts in new york
what program are u using?
All I have used so far is maya. Hopefully I can get a class around 3dMax too. I would like to know both. What about you?
ReplyDeleteonly maya. i hear max is easier to learn but kind of shitty to animate with...and i do mostly animating...and trying to get more into lighting and rendering.
ReplyDeleteI hope to be mainly an animator, but I'm also learning to be a texture artist and rigger. I could be a triple threat if I get it down, haha. :P
ReplyDeleteThat is totally awesome. :) It's like half real, half Super Mario 64. I think the car and building look phenomenal.
